Or does your statement imly that 90 nm chips made at fab 36 are of a different design from same model chip made in fab 30 ?


Yeah, there must be substantial differences between Fab 30 and Fab 36 process technologies. Fab 30 is in its last phase of production on 200mm wafers, so most likely, the development / improvements there are now at the minimum. The conversion is supposed to take place in 2007, after which, the production will be on the same process technology as Fab 36.
