The question is whether you want to read about SCT 52 weeks a year like the obsessed Yahooligans who follow every tick of their favorite little company. Most folks I know on SI have a broader view and more diverse interests. They don't zero in on the same few stocks for months or years on end, not enough to keep threads active. That works against the stock-rating system when it is mixed in with the active threads.
