Todays Republican Party has lost its way. It is lost the way that Barry Goldwater championed: low taxes, less government, leaving social issues to be handled without government interference. The neo-cons/chickenhawks that run the party and lost the 2006 elections are not veterans but think they know how to run a war, have run up a huge deficit, polarize the public by trying politicize flag burning, gay marriage, etc -- things that should be not the governments job.

This is not a 6 year old interest area, nor is it a normal for six year olds be influenced by politics at this level or to hold individual view points about much more than what to wear on the playground. Anyone who sees the need to impose this kind of thing on a six year old, or to justify their own thinking by the expressions of a six year old exposes themselves as very needy and ... never mind.
