Exactly right. I mention it all the time. As time passes the divide between the home rich and home poor will widen.
Most all the legislation to make home ownership more "affordable" has comeback to haunt the market.

All we ended up with is the "home rich" and the "can't afford even one house".

If prices don't fall drastically very fast and the Congress doesn't make some major changes (they won't}, we'll end up with wider a gulf between the rch and poor. Like 50-50.

Congress/Bernanke etc should back off and let the markets take care of themselves.
