I interpreted this to mean Nokia would continue to pay royalties during the extension. If true, and we couple that with the fact that Nokia has - for lack of a better term - blabbed that they won't be paying royalties after April, would it then follow that they're not planning to exercise the extension?

On that note, I recall it was Q that first identified the extension as another potential wrinkle in the negotiations, not Nokia. Could the whole extension thing be a red herring?
