You could be right. But you know, I remember when I met my birth family for the first time- fanatical Southern Baptists in the backwoods of KY- and I remember my Uncle Joe talking about various types of people of color (not in those words, of course.) Had my Uncle Joe had access to a computer I have NO doubt that he would have been screechy, especially to strangers, but aside from his extremely reactionary? bigoted? (not sure how to sum up a 50's Southern mentality encased in the body of someone living in the 90's) he was a very pleasant man.
