Glad GGC worked.

GGN is the top pick of Jim Steel or one of them. Jack had brought it to my attention and to the board. Nice Nevada based soon to be miner (they have produced in the past)with a nice resource. They had a big stumble this week and last as the company they hired to do their reserve calc made a calc mistake. Not huge but big enough to cause concern. The major share holders are looking at GGN as an explorer with a potential yanacocha cloned model. They are in the middle of a large drill program. They had very good results last spring.

GGN is or may be over sold. In addition up through Dec. 22 they have up to 12 mill warrants to exercise. Stock had held up very well under this pressure until the news on the reserve calc.
EDIT:SEE NEXT POST

It is my largest holding by number of shares.

Dak;

Look closely at YZC (Yukon Zinc)as a tax loss selling candidate. Certainly no other zinc stock is a candidate for none other is DOWN . lol.

I have pointed out that, given today's futures prices and applying them to the feasibility study , the Wolverine deposit is surely economic (IMHO). (I last posted details on the zinc thread). Could the economics be outweighed by the incentive to take losses for tax purposes ?

So so far I've got GGN (don't know the story, I hate to buy something ONLY because it cratered and there is tax selling) QEE, and Yukon Zinc.

I'll add GNM to the list, well below where it traded most of the year. Story seems intact, although with these elections in S. America I'm not so sure it's a great spot.
