I do not dispute in the least that the volume of money is related to the level of prices. It is an extremely important part of the equation. If I denied that money supply played a a role then I would be as weird as you -- well, almost as weird as you. Because nothing could be more weird than taking the above definition and omitting the words "a persistent, substantial rise in the general level of prices". These are the central words in all definitions of inflation. The causes of inflation are always going to be subject to some debate, but the core meaning of inflation -- "a persistent, substantial rise in the general level of prices" -- is non negotiable. Please don't continue to make a fool of yourself by pretending otherwise.
