CR,

Too bad for the Captain. I am astounded by the changes taking place at GM. I would have never predicted it just one year ago. GM is thinking global in entirely new ways, and they are doing some creative things in an effort to foster real partnerships with the suppliers. Kinda looks a little like Toyota, but it is much too soon to state that as fact. Please do not take this comment as any confirmation of the valuation. I have no opinion or prediction for future earnings. Also note that my view into GM is limited to the little tiny slice of their activity that I am a part of. I see excellent progress in my small niche and I can only extrapolate that this is meaningful to the entire organization, but I do not have any fact to support this.

I would not buy Ford under any circumstance. The remaining people appear to be the cream, but I can't see any vision beyond cost cutting. I don't think that is enough.
