Ask any big equipment operator and they'll all tell you the same thing. They're getting paid to play with huge Tonka's all day. It's a hoot!

Actually, I keep underestimating the excavator's ability to quickly move a large amount of dirt. Every time I use it, I'm surprised. Problem is, it can only move it so far. Maybe 40 feet. A dumptruck only half solves the problem. 2 would be better. But ideally you need enough dumptrucks that the excavator is never sitting waiting for a truck to arrive.

And the track loader comes in handy because what I'm doing is removing muck from a good rock/clay base, but it can't clean the base well enough to make good roadway for itself and the trucks.
