Is this the Xbox vs. Wii board, or what? :)

Paul, > If Gears of War is #3, that's astonishing, since it just came out in November.

Meaning what? The new 007 movie topped the box office charts in its first week. Is that "astonishing," or just normal for successful blockbusters?

Same thing with blockbuster games. I'm pretty sure XBox will have its own share of "must have" games; in fact, I already named Halo. But Sony has more. Nintendo has more. XBox has only a few; the rest are shovelware ports like Madden (one of the most successful shovelware projects ever).

Anyway, I'll stop here before Rink dings me for off-topic posting. To steer this back to AMD ... no, I don't think it's in AMD/ATI's best interest to pursue the game console market. (Remember the sour grapes when Intel took the XBox design win away from AMD?)
