That was before they were demoed. When that happened (called "new data", mas) I changed my position, dumped AMD, and started buying Intel.

You did seem to be correct there, I will admit. For once. :)

This makes your opinions worthless to those who want ones based on conviction and not monetary bias.

It's not that I want to defend Doug, but what better motive is there here but ones own self enrichment? That's what he should be motivated by. What value is conviction? This isn't a Church. The only conclusion you can draw from Doug's flip flopping is that his judgement is unsound in anticipating future technology trends. But this is the same mistake AMD made and they too were caught flatfooted by C2D and QC. At least Doug has the sense to change his position. If nothing else.
