What part of "trade weighted index" do you not get?

You are arguing against yourself. I said nothing about the individual components, I simply pointed out the trade weighted dollar index hasn't moved much. Inside that index all kinds of things have happened over the last ten years.....that's why they call it an index.

If you have a problem with the way it is weighted, state your case to the Atlanta Fed, they are the ones who compile it.
