You are such a short term thinker. And you are not alone. Any statistician will tell you that it's not about a single data point. It is about trends. Over the next 20 years, if we don't see an increase in the number and severity of hurricanes due to rising global temperatures, induced by extremely high CO2 levels, then you can tell me that I was wrong.

Until then, don't come to me and tell me that 1 quiet year means I'm wrong. I could tell you that last year is proof that I'm right, but that would be equally anecdotal. Sure 2006 was quiet, but maybe it's the quiet before the storm.
