Rumor is that the Iraq Survey Group's recommendations are a way to let Republicans flee from Bush.

They've already shown they can flee Bush territory when it comes to getting re-elected and even that wasn't enough.

The only thing they know they are going to do is to attack Pelosi for the next two years. Which, IMO, is a waste of time. Two years from now most of the American public still won't know who Pelosi is. But they will know who's been winning "American Idol". Who has ever flipped parties because of Trent Lott, Bill Frist, Denny Hastert or Tom Delay?

I fully expect them [the GOP] to obstruct Congressional action over the next couple of years. I can live with that. Let them block a raise in the minimum wage or negotiatated prices for the medicare prescription program. They'll pay for it in 2008.
