I think what the Iraqi's are now doing is trying to affect the imminent US Presidential elections with violence. Those wacko nuts in Iraq will do anything to prevent Republicans from getting elected. The violence has nothing to do with a "civil war" between Sunni's and Shia. After all, just because the whole Middle East can be broken down into Sunni's and Shia its not a big concern that war has broken out between them in Iraq. They are much more concerned with preventing Republicans from being elected that with a fight that has been brewing for centuries.
