SS, Obama's short political history could turn out to be a positive for him in 2008. It would enable him to focus the minds of the people to his future and not his past.

I was impressed with how skillfully Barack challenged Sen. Brownback to reclaim the initiative from the Republicans, who have always claimed that they and not the Dems were the party that promoted values such as faith in God etc.

His upcoming visit to Soweto with Bishop Tutu and Mandela would be very interesting.

We have sent our young men and women off to war and they have creditably discharged their duties to defend and preserve our liberties. Now it is time to send a relatively young man to the White House to revive our values, which continue to be assaulted by this President and his henchmen.

His mixed race brings out the best of both. And hopefully, that is what the US would not only welcome but would embrace in November 2008.
