I have a friend who was originally from the UK, went to University of Birmingham, and is now in Silicon Valley. After visiting Australia, he wanted to immigrate, but could not.

Why ? Because he was "too old" for his corporate level. He supervised about 5 people, if he was supervising 25, they would let him in. If he was about 13 years younger, he could get in also.

Oz doesn't want any potential burdens.

What about the freezing weather and onset of global cooling, starting in NZ? <I, on the other hand, lived in the US for 13 years, and finally decided to return to NZ about 10 years ago. Everything that's happened in the past 6 years makes me very glad I made the move. >
