"I'm trying to figure out the purpose of this leak. Memos from the SECDEF to POTUS don't leak from some grunt in GSA" I saw some analysis on TV. They weren't sure who would have been the source of the memos, since Rummy didn't lack for enemies all through the military and the WH. It was pointed out the memo was written one day before the mid-term elections, and he was gone one day after, and that this memo wasn't a suicide note, not what one would write KNOWING he was goner. Upshot - Rummy was fired without his prior knowledge as soon as the results of the mid-terms were in.

Maybe it's Baker/Bush41 and incoming Gates fighting publicly against idiot son Dubya. If Rumsfeld, the stay the course, this isn't a big deal it's the same vase delusional guy saw the writing on the wall, then Dubya is left with a few military commanders, his mistress Condie and Satan minion Cheney in his camp. Dubya is out after all trying to build a wall against whatever comes from the Iraq Survey Group --- that's the analysis I heard about his 'Maliki's our guy and there's no graceful exit' blathering last week. I think it would be a good to have the Bush family psychosis and infighting made even more public. I think it would be a sight to see Poppy come out of retirement and publicly admit that he DOES love Jebby better and he really DOES love Bill better as well. Dubya is a loon, it's better that we all understand that before he does any more lasting damage. It's late but hopefully it's not too late.
