Sorry RJA and I do say things tongue in cheek and seriously simultaneously, with the idea that people will just consider ideas they have or haven't thought of, and think for themselves. I hope readers find funny what I think is funny and absurd what I think is absurd. I'm not wanting a congregation of true believers. Since people have to think for themselves when reading my rants, there's no danger that they'll just uncritically accept what I say - it contradicts itself for a start, often enough. Some is plain obviously wrong and can't really be taken at face value.

I give links often enough, so people can read for themselves. I did give links to the icebergs and there are lots of them.

Yes, it really is freezing here. Loads of snow has fallen over the high areas of the south island, but we are supposed to be in summer now. It's December for God'- sake.

I'm not joking either than I consider a continuation of the ice age more likely than a damaging global warming. I'd rather have 3 metres of sea level rise than a 10% risk of more ice age. A sea level rise would happen over a century. An ice age would happen over 2 or 3 years.

One would be a catastrophe and it's not a slow sea level rise. A fast sea level rise, which is going to happen because of bolide ocean surface deflections or outright splashdowns is a major hazard so people should be worrying about that, not a pathetic 3 metre century-long sea level rise which would be insignificant economically.

I have no idea what's happening in Colorado.

Ask Google news about icebergs, new zealand and you'll get lots of things to check.
