[I think the press likes to emphasize the 'tortured' side of any artist, perhaps to give credence that you have to suffer for your art]

if you did a microscope on most peoples lives, you could find 'pain' and focus on that only

but in spite of that tendency, their work rises above it and stands alone

speaking of art, I saw the "Tut" exhibit in chicago yesterday - one word
