I also live in a very safe neighborhood. I've lived here for 30 yrs and I can only recall a couple of break ins, and I think they were perpetrated by bored teens.

There was a murder in the house two houses over 5-6 yrs ago. It was on the mkt and a realtor went to an appt to show the house and was killed. They think it was the Russian Mafia and that he was doing some black market jewelry smuggling. Still hasn't been solved. I don't let it bother me. The neighborhood has been quiet ever since. And if it isn't my doggy alerts me. Then I get out the gun[s].
