BlueSunbelt.Com was beta launched on December 1, 2006 as a political weblog for the Sunbelt states. We are a community for progressive netroots and political analysis for some of the fastest growing population areas of the United States. Our geographic focus includes the states and territories of the Old South, Border States, and Southwest that are a part of or are adjacent to the Sunbelt. That includes an area that is generally the southern half of the United States from California on the west, to Missouri on the north, to the Gulf Of Mexico and Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands on the south, and the DC-MD-DE area on the east.

Our site will include a front page with stories by writers who have been designated as front page posters. The front page will also include user diaries that have been bumped up to the front page. We hope to be able to bump up a lot of of the user diaries that have quality material. We will have User Diaries and a Recommended Diary list. We are always seeking quality front page writers and guest bloggers. If you are interested please send links of you recent work to rob at robwire.com.

BlueSunBelt.Com will be a community for netroots activists who are interested in organizing and working to make more of the Sunbelt states blue in local, state, and federal elections. There will be local and state elections in 2007 and there will be a number of targets in the House and Senate in 2008 as well as the presidential election.
