I think most people agree having to sit through dreidel, dreidel, dreidel and Happy Quanza is an acceptable compromise to be able to listen to school kids sing Silent Night.

He is trying to equate "Islamists," people who believe we should be killed for not being Muslim, with his coined "christianists," people who want their religion used in schools.

Not apples and oranges. More McIntosh and Gala. I take your point that the Islamicists are badder than the Christianists because they are killers. But the principle is the same. They are both absolutist and aggressive about their religions vs those who don't share them. The Islamicists commit felonies and the Christianists only misdemeanors, but they're still cut from the same cloth. The shared cloth is a valid comparison even if one is more dangerous than the other. They do equate in kind, just not in degree. You've focusing on the degree and ignoring the kind.
