I'm a Grinch about shopping, not Christmas. Malls become even more intolerable than they are the rest of the year, and when I start seeing Christmas stuff in Costco in August I really get annoyed. But that's business, not Christmas. I have very fond memories of shopping for presents for my parents when I was a kid. We looked in every store on the main street in my town, and chose a red teapot. I still remember the clank of chains on cars going by on brick-laid streets. I didn't kill anyone last year either, so we're even.
