It all seems to revolve around Harrow, which isn't exactly a major metropolis.

What was the "heavy machine" that the police said there was no evidence of being removed from the barn? Whose property was the barn on?

The matter was investigated by the Toronto police fraud division. The report was initially made by PV.

The machinery in question was picked up allegedly from a barn in HARROW....The police did investigate the barn and I was told that there was no evidence that a heavy machine was removed from that barn.

The investigating officer also told me he had a strong feeling that PV and this director were involved in it. There was some other person PV alleged to have been dealing with (who PV says got the machine) who had never worked for G & G and as far as the police could tell did not really exist.
