You talk about "basic knowledge" but you don't seem to understand the basics of Marketing 101. They were trying to get people to go there and set up communities. If they had called it "Ice Desert" they would have had a hard time getting ANYBODY over there. So they called it Greenland. If you think it was actually a "greenland" and then it became an "ice desert" later then you're WAY off base, my friend. WHAT kinda climate change do you think happened around 1100 AD??????
