A very small...but sometimes annoying...matter for your consideration, Bob.

I inhabit the "Clown Free Zone-E-Wave Workspace", where we have now had 139,245 posts. Unfortunately, the tab showing the number of the post is not wide enough to show that large a number...so what I see on the last post...right now...is:..... [ 13924 ] of 139245....

Can anything be done to fix that??

Obviously, not a matter I'd expect to be given high priority....but maybe you might take a look some time when you'd like a break from more vexing matters..LOL

>>Portfolios:

Of course, I won't give an ETA, but I'm in London right now and one of the topics on the agenda is Portfolios. I expect we'll have them in weeks rather than months. Several weeks, but that's better than several months.<<

Pretty please? Sugar on top?

I don't know if you follow the SI "Biotech Stock Picking for Charity" Contest. It now draws several dozen participants, and raises several thousand dollars for good causes. When the portfolios went away on SI, it became a bit harder to administer and to follow. I think I speak for a number of folks when I say that we miss the portfolios the most in the context of the Charity Contest. We "SI Biofreaks" will be glad to see them back, if only for that reason.

Here's the first, from 2000:

Subject 32555

And here's the latest for 2007, just starting:

Subject 56893

I encourage folks with other interests to start such a contest. For example, a "Gold Stock Picking for Charity Contest." Remember, win or lose, it's a tax write-off for a good cause!

At the moment, someone with spreadsheet skills will have to volunteer to keep score, and post the scores weekly (or at least occasionally). It will much easier if SI gets the portfolio feature back.

TIA & Cheers, Tuck
