You are absolutely right! Colorado has an abundance of elk right now and the bleeding hearts always protest that hunting season. If it were not for the hunters, elk would overrun this state. Deer the same.
Now, geese, they're something else. I wish they could figure out a way to poison about 2/3 of that population.
I went to see if a grave marker had been placed on my aunt's grave about a month ago. There was so much goose poop on that grass I hated to walk on it. Had to clean my shoes before I could get back in the car.

A friend had a shot at the buck he had been wanting for 2 years. Gun went click, it was a muzzle loader and he put in a too small bullet which fell out on the way to the blind. No herd thinning there.
