There are plenty of people in the US not making 19 bucks an hour plus benefits - you are right to say that there are severe distortions in the US labor market, but to say that there are not people who would be better off with 19 bucks and hour plus benefits is hard for me to believe. Once the bullcrap is flushed out of the labor market then a person with some skill is better off that a wise guy with an angle.
