Remember when Kerry and his bodyguard ran together on the ski slope and Kerry fell down? A while later a reporter overheard Kerry say "that sonofabitch ran into me" or something to that affect. The repugs made much of this little incident. They had it on the news for days and days on end after it happened. I never bought into all the hoopala which the press and the repugs were making over the incident. Even if Kerry had said it in a mean hateful way (which I never thought he did) it wouldn't have rose to the level of importance to which the press elevated it to. There is no way to judge anything about Kerry's statement without actually hearing him say it. The same thing he said could very well be said in a joking funny sort of way and that is what I always though happened.

Now we have junior asking Webb about his son. We know junior was told to be sensitive about the subject. We know that junior is a vindictive sort of person. He is the kind of guy who loves to rub something in when he thinks he has the upper hand. We know (or it is my position) that junior has never been the kind of person to ask someone like Webb anything because he cares or is being friendly. I think junior said it in a nasty kind of way and that is what set Webb off. I don't believe that if junior said it as if he really cared about Webbs son that Webb would go off like he did. It is not anything surprising to me about junior even though we don't have a recording of how junior made his comment.
