Postings like what we are seeing here-- and there on Stockhouse ---are more like the end of a mania than the beginning.

Happily, with uranium, there is the option of moving into the most solid companies at a reasonable price: Cameco, Energy Resources of Australia, Denison, Areva--and some very promising exploration plays like UEX and JNR Resources.

I think what we are seeing is a kind of reverse of the tech stock thing of the 1990s, where the really big money was to have been in Intel and Microsoft from years before, and the risky part was jumping into all the upstart dot.coms at the end.

My advice for anyone who truly wants to get rich on uranium is to buy and hold the biggies named above. In the mean time, it may be possible to grab some quick (and maybe very large) profits on all these smallcap things. I own a bunch myself, but I am going to take my own advice and build major positions in the major producers. Cameco is going to recover from the Cigar Lake thing, and I still would call it the Exxon of uranium--as Areva is the Total of nuclear power.

I recall Dec. is a bad month for exploration stocks, and I hope that will be the same this year. I want a position in MGA, but will not pay this much for it. I am looking for the stock to pull back into the mid 4 dollar range. I hope it does, time will tell.
