I once asked a Muslim friend who was trying to make a connection if we could pray the Lord's Prayer together. Nope, he said, I could never refer to God as Father, disrespectful.

Maybe we pray to the same God but we sure have a different relationship with Him.

If it starts a discussion about what is and is not reasonable and appropriate for Christians vis a vis their non Christian fellows in a pluralistic society, more power to it.
