Elmer, let me ask you this: I've heard that server apps that largely depend on FP performance on average correllate better with Spec_Rate_FP than Spec_FP. Is that correct or not?

It was Rink and not me.

Barcelona doubles the amount of FPU resources over K8, so any lead that Core2 has pretty much goes away. In addition, the FPU pipeline seems to be more flexible in that more complex instructions can be issued at a time than Core2 can, so there might be advantage for AMD. I dunno if I would say the advantage is significant, but...
