I listened and it seemed to me he agreed with EVERYONE's idea. Told one Senator, we need to increase troops (McCain) told the next one we need to bring them home (Levin). etc etc. I am afraid Gates is a technocrat as compared to the former who was an executive. Personally, I have more respect for a man like Bush who lays out his plan and sticks to it after listening to all sides politely, then a wishy washy typical Washingtonian. George Washington would fire them all. jdn
