It does seem likely to me that there will be a downtrend in early 2007 just like in 2004 and 2005 after this run up and the bull cycle continuing without a 10% SPX correction since 2002. But take a look at the triangle since Thanksgiving on the NASDAQ indices.... If we close above QQQQ=44.25 a lot more upside seems highly likely. So Dec 18 seems rather early for the turning point.
