You can drive from Venezuela to Los Angeles by Mercedez Benz. A drug courier once told me that. I think he said it took 5 days. You have to speak Spanish to make it. There are local dangers and you should have a winch and drive a diesel.

It sounds like your brother has recently seen, "The Motorcycle Diaries".

After that trip you will have to change your SI moniker to Gib "Che Guevara" Bogle.

And if you take this trip, I fully expect to hear you make claim to a swim across the Amazon <g>
