The study conducted by the group of magazines and newspapers found that the missing votes Gore was looking for came from the over-votes.............the GOP leaning counties were hiding more votes than the Dem counties. Had he recounted in the GOP areas he would have found his winning votes. I realize that the study results were made public right after 9/11 and no one had the stomach for another recount. Hindsight is 20/20........we'd have been better off doing another recount. No one knew exactly what was about to unfold.... some of us here on this thread had our suspicions............it was all predictable.
