My, what a long post.

Since I said earlier I don't actually take the whole "character" thing very seriously (seeing as how subjective the whole thing is), you should have known that my statement with regard to "good character" and "looking over the shoulder" was somewhat tongue in cheek. I understand that you took it oh so seriously. Unfortunate. And no, I'm not interested in YOUR character. That you put a shoe on because you thought it fit is not really my problem. Some people on SI love to put on stray shoes they find lying around. That says more about your insecurities (perhaps) than anything I was saying about you. I remember almost nothing about you. You just aren't important enough for me to keep tabs on. Yes, I see religiously driven charity differently from you. I probably see it more like Ayn Rand would see it- as (somewhat) "virtuously" selfish. That's not a comment on you personally, it's a comment on an idea that you chose to personalize, and you made a general discussion (with regard to religiously driven charity) personal, about yourself. I actually see everyone working in charity as selfish- myself included. You, of couse, didn't bother to work that out, and just decided that you had the Truth, and I was "targeting" the religious, and thinking I was "better". I'm glad the religious do what they do, although I do think there would probably be fewer problems in the world if people could be good without needing to be religious. That's not really about me; it has a lot more to do with sectarian conflict, which I do not like, and the irrational aspect of religion, which I don't like either (and just for the record, neither of those comments is a personal attack on you either. They are general comments.) Just think of the Islamic problem and ask yourself about the benefits of religion (even though charity is a huge staple of Islam, and I understand is one of the pillars of Islam).

From your posts about me on SI, especially your posts in places where I do not post, TO people who merely spend a lot of their spare time posting about me, I fully understand that you actually hate me. Why you spend your time on me I will never understand. I don't spend a lot of time talking about people I don't like. I often even regret the time I spend talking to them- so boring, such a waste of time.
