They are STILL being denied freedom of religion, and arrested when they try to build churches, in the central highlands... hmm, buddy now an expert in southeast asia ??? first the spelling is: montagnard !!!!! second those people are NOT catholic and not budhist .. they have their own religion and do not need a church !!! Montagnard is a common name that the french giving to people living in the mountain area NOT in the low land such as the delta of the rivers. These people are distinguished by the color of their clothing, their custom and tradition, and they live in their own world in the western mountain area with limited contact to the outside world till the communist infiltrated to the south by passing thru their territory. In Laos, the hmong became american allies and a great number of hmong now living in minesota. In south VN, the Rhade, the muong ... do not leave their villages and stay as they were thousand years ago. And they do NOT build any church at all ...
