That would make sense.

I know of a Bridge to Nowhere. It was built before my time, and after it was built the opposite side was made into wilderness. Now the road leading up to it has alders growing up in it and the other side terminates in the wilderness area where no roads will ever be built. It provides shelter, the creek provides water, and I believe people have camped under it for some time.

I think promoters of pork barrel projects should be voted out of office.

There is another side, however.

When the railroads were built out west they were essentially bridges to nowhere, but they were vital to the economic development of the west. That was the argument behind the highway north out of Juneau. As you well know, it is landlocked and the legislators from Anchorage hate going into session there.
