State propaganda on Iraq

it now turns out that the actual level of violence in Iraq has been systematically UNDER-reported, to make it look better than it actually is:

"U.S. military and intelligence officials have systematically underreported the violence in Iraq in order to suit the Bush administration's policy goals, the bipartisan Iraq Study Group said.

The panel pointed to one day last July when U.S. officials reported 93 attacks or significant acts of violence. "Yet a careful review of the reports for that single day brought to light 1,100 acts of violence," it said.

officially reported acts of violence on that day: 93
ACTUAL acts of violence on that day: 1,100

oh my, that's a SLIGHT reporting error of 95% ! the immensity of the government's lies continue to astound even me (here it is again - another example why the government can't be trusted - and why everybody should be alarmed at the legislation introduced since 2001. naturally, they lie about everything - and that includes the lies about the purpose of the new laws).

93 or 1,100 - who cares? everything's JUST FINE in Iraq!
