I think it's fairly obvious the motives behind all this global warming alarmism. If they can create a big enough scare, they can get major international laws and treaties pressed through which will be designed to attack the engine of all economic growth...energy use. If they can attack economic growth and cause economic collapse people will then accept a strong centralized dictatorial/socialist world government

The current warming is much faster and more dramatic than the medieval warming. This warming has mostly occurred in the past 50 years. That warming took centuries.
