"Virtually all of northern Europe, the British Isles, Scandinavia"

This part is true.

"Greenland, and Iceland were considerably warmer than at present."

Not so true.

"The Mediterranean, the Near East, and North Africa, including the Sahara, received more rainfall than they do today."

Greater rain fall != to warmer temp.

And so on. Many areas got cooler. Some areas in North America showed no change at all. There just wasn't any general global warming. The Chinese evidence shows this up. Some areas in China warmed. Others cooled. Some experienced greater rainfall, others drought.

All signs point to some change in the Global Conveyor.
