Keith, I couldn't agree more....

It's as though our Government is being micro managed by the media elites........the talking heads.

I agree that Cheney would be a much better speaker and could articulate the Administrations position and strategy much better than Bush...

At this point its all about Iran...and we need to have a presence in Iraq in a very big way...

I would be for an all out takeover of Iraq, setting up our own puppet government......

regards

As far as I'm concerned, all the information should be classified for 25 years. I don't think that micromanaging the executive decision to remove Saddam Hussein from power has anything to do with the sectarian violence in Iraq today.

Keith.. Have to disagree with you..

1.) Trying to classify documents that don't even belong to us is fruitless. All of those documents belong to the Iraqi government. They just permitted us to scan them and then we are required to return the originals.

2.) Classifying these documents would be like trying to classify the Stasi files (E. Germany). They really belong to the Iraqi people.

Either way, we have no right to classify the originals. Any reports that are written, based upon the content of these documents, will have to be classified accordingly.

Also, the fact that in 1993, the Iraqi Intelligence Service was receiving directives DIRECTLY FROM SADDAM to cooperate and assist the hunting of Americans in "Arabian lands" is pretty damn conclusive evidence to me.

In fact, had that document been presented to the UNSC and US Congress in 1993, I'd almost have to believe it would have been perceived as a material breach of the cease-fire... especially in light of what transpired in Somalia (blackhawk down).
