1. AMD doesn't exactly want their premium, cutting-edge parts associated with Marshalls discount bin. It damages the whole brand. Makes the QC parts seem less reliable... maybe one core could fail at any time? Look at all these defective ones they are selling on the cheap.

2. For the enthusiasts.. yeah, that's it.

As I said the last time this discussion came up, about 3 weeks ago or so .. sell them as dual cores and leak how to enable the third core to the enthusiast websites and you'll get one hell of a good buzz going.
