That's pretty wild. If they weren't shipping, they could get sued for the press release they issued and the claims that half of their product will be 65nm by Q1. I don't think they are that stupid.

I think a strict reading of their statement allows for 1/2 of their wafer starts to be 65nm by March 31st. I don't expect that to happen.

If we were to make a list of all the statements AMD has make that didn't quite turn out it would probably qualify as my 20 posts for today.

AMD has been pushing the limits of Clintonian logic these days.

Besides, paper launches are nothing new. Intel only gets accused of it every single time they launch a product and it isn't IMMEDIATELY filling up the shelves of Circuit City/Best Buy/Fry's/Costco.
