Every solution has an economic component. The rightists complained about Kyoto because of its disparate economic impact. Later, they changed their tune to "there is no global warming". Pressure the large developing nations - India and China - to clean up their acts. They'll be the biggest increasers of greenhouse gasses. Use our only remaining leverage - our marketplaces. I don't understand how the neocons can wield such a large club when talking about 'spreading democracy', yet turn out to be such wimps when talking about wielding our biggest club - capitalism. After all, democracy did not cause the Iron Curtain to collapse - capitalism did.
