I said "probably" because ... So your comment '"I probably see it" - You don't know how you see it? ' is extremely silly.

And my question was meant to be humorous. So you don't have to get too defensive there.

I don't pay any attention to what you say about you, or your opinions, I only pay attention to what you say about me. So really, I am keeping tabs on me- partly because it pleases my vanity, and partly for security reasons. See how that works? You are not of interest to me, but I am of interest to me, and apparently I am of interest to you, too. When your posts are about me, I read them, and if they are off the chart nasty I file them, so I can share them with friends and giggle over them in my spare time :-) Of course some posts (not any of yours that I recall, but then it's hard to put names to the posts) are rather deranged and disturbing- and I put those in another file.

I'm glad you enjoy the posts about you. How about the ones about your bud, Baker and the other members of the little clique? Do you compile statistics on your critics as Baker does?

Given your comments above I have to wonder about the recent comments you and Baker shared on the VFC thread about my posts about potheads on the left/right thread - there was no mention of you or Baker there on my part but you two read my comments anyway and commented on them semi-privately (thanks again to the person who tipped me about that). I wonder how that happened? What kind of tab-keeping brought a discussion I was having on another thread to you-alls attention?
...
Your point about finding "liking" people juvenile is just sad- but it does explain the way you post. Most people (I think) enjoy the company of people they like. It's relaxing to be around people who are nice, and easy going, and well, likable.

Yeah, I find it strange that someone can only talk politics or drug policy or anything else with folks one "likes". It seems pretty clear that "like" means "people who agree with me" or at least "defer to my opinion and not dispute my pronouncements."

That's true when one is on the internet, or in a social gathering in 3d. If you are interested in issues you are much better off reading an expert than some unknown person of questionable education, intelligence and experience on SI. IMO the issues really aren't that significant on SI. you can learn a lot more almost anywhere else. Because I greatly enjoy posting to people I find likable, and find it a burden to post to people I don't, I tend to hang out with people I like. That you find that odd or juvenile strikes me as strange and alien (and sad, as I said before). We're on Earth for a very short time, so we might as well spend our time with the people we value, rather than the ones we don't. But obviously we disagree on that point.

One has to ask if this is all true why you are posting on this thread at all and why you posted to me uninivited to begin with. Not that I object or anything. I don't have any qualms about "liking" and "disliking" people. I'll communicate with anyone (almost - there's that Finnish mental patient who used to post on SI). But seriously this thread is totally unprotected against people you don't like - aren't you afraid of catching something (or being bored to death - following up on the blase pose)?
