Almost any Dem ticket may beat anything the GOP has in 2008. Every day that passes reveals the modernday GOP has been an absolute disgrace to their country. Even McCain is not immune. He pimped and pandered to Bush like the rest of them. He is no maverick anymore. Gore and Obama are perhaps the two most potent candidates as of today, but so far neither one of them is running. and it may turn out neither of them do. There are strong reasons for each not to run. For Gore it's personal. He is a happy man. Why screw with that? For Obama, he is so new in politics that he can afford to wait. And American might want to wait for a non-white president. Obama is smart and he saw what they did to Harold Ford. The GOP carved 10% off Ford's support in one week with a single sleazy ad. It was easy for them to do. McCain btw has just hired the same creep who produced that ad.
